Configuring: Time Manipulation
Select the timestamp field and the form of time manipulation to be used: offsetting or warping. The modified dataset will contain the new timestamps, but will retain the original data values.
Worked example: Time manipulation
Steps to configure
-
Time manipulation: Select the timestamp field and manipulation method.
-
Execute: The dataset will be modified, replacing the timestamp field values, with the date and time that you selected.
Step 1: Time manipulation
Select the timestamp field and manipulation method.
Timestamp field:

If you have no timestamp field in the dataset, the timestamp field text box will be disabled, you will still be able to configure the various manipulation methods, but you will be unable to click on [Finish].
-
Default: the first timestamp field in the dataset is selected.
-
Minimum configuration: one timestamp field must be selected.

Enter the offset in the following format: days, hours, minutes, seconds, and fractions of a second: “d hh:mm:ss.fff”.
-
Default: no offset is entered.
-
Minimum configuration: offset should be greater than 0.
Time warp:
-
Select the new period by which to warp the dataset.
-
Default: start and end time will be the start and end time of the original dataset.
-
Minimum configuration: a start and end time needs to be entered, where the start time is prior to the end time.
